System H: 2.5″ Ultimate Suspension w/Leafs 1966-77 Bronco

(1 customer review)

You’ve been asking for it—a smooth-riding system like our taller lifts, but with only 2 1/2” of suspension lift and our shock hoop system. Perfect for those of you with uncut fenders who want to run up to a 31″ x 9.5” tires (even without a body lift) without needing new driveshafts or extended brake lines (although we recommend them with any lift). We refer to these as our Ultimate All-Around systems. We build these kits right, using our proprietary progressive rate springs-coils in front and 11-leaf packs outback. Kits include our HD Adjustable Track Bar to get the front axle centered. An easy bolt-in, the trac bar does not require a weld-on trac bar drop bracket to complete the adjustment.

Contents:

  • Blue or Black 2.5″ Progressive Rate Coil Springs, Made in the USA
  • 2.5″ 11-Leaf pack Springs, Made in the USA with U-Bolts and Polyurethane Spring Eye & Shackle Bushings

  • 7° C-Bushing Set New Strut Arm Bushing Set
  • Stage 1 Front Shock Hoops (#5201)
  • Classic Rear Double Shock Mounts (#5500)
  • 4- 8110 Eye/Eye James Duff 70/30 Auto Adjust Shocks for Front Hoops

As with all of our lift systems, c-bushings, strut bushings, track bar bushings, spring eye and shackle bushings, new u-bolts, and our famous 70/30 Auto-Adjust shocks (with boots) are included. This system also includes a front shock hoop system and classic rear shock mounts, for double shock mounts all around which act as sway control (shock mounts do require minor welding for installation).

FAQ:

Q: How do I know if I need heavy or medium-duty leaf springs?
A: Check out our FAQ page to learn more about which leaf springs are right for you.

Q: Will I need sway bars?
A: With this system, it has 2 shocks per corner, which will provide some sway control. This system also has shock hoops which can interfere with the Hellwig front sway bar we offer. If you are looking to add anti-sway bars we really suggest you look at our duck tuff system here. It uses stock shock mounts that do not interfere with the sway bar.

Q: Do I need frame to axle extended brake lines with this kit? Part# 3931
A:
If you have not already upgraded your brake lines this would be a good time to consider doing so.

Q: Do I need E brake cables? Part# 3756
A:
No but again, if your original ones are needing to be replaced anyways or you plan to use the Bronco offroad we recommend you replace them with new extended ones

Q: Do I need new driveshafts?
A:
We always tell our customers that every Bronco is different. Some need them, others do not. If you feel your driveshafts may be too short or need to be replaced contact us. Looking to buy? Our front driveshaft is here, and our rear driveshaft is here.

Q: Should I replace my steering while I am installing my new lift system?
A: It is strongly recommended. Check out our heim steer systems or our wildly popular bumpsteer eliminator kit.

Q: Do I need pinion shims with this lift?
A:
Not likely but here is a link to our pinion shims in case you do.

Q: Do I need to move my rear axle back when I lift my Bronco?
A: Bronco’s with rear cut fenders don’t typically need this but if you are uncut you might. Check out our spring perches here that allow you to move your axle back as well as give you an option to lift it up another inch if needed.

Note: Blue or Black choice will apply to the coil springs and shock boots.

This 2-1/2″ suspension kit works very well. I can’t believe the suspension extension. Its a very well put together kit. I would add center brake lines though. My old factory center brake lines were maxed out on the full extension. Also replaced the axle breather hose.
