Simple in design and function, our classic traction bars attach above the springs so they don ‘t catch on trail obstacles. Prevent spring wrap and wheel hop giving you added traction for hill climbing and rough terrain. They help eliminate shackle and driveshaft damage and reduce the chance of broken springs due to rough terrain or heavy loads. It comes with black polyurethane bushings and black powder-coated frame brackets, axle brackets, and traction bars.

I read the reviews and then called and inquired about the one review with the front mounting brackets being bent incorrectly and was informed the customer who wrote the review had inadvertently purchased the wrong part for his truck. Understandable… I then confirmed with the representative that this part was correct for my 96 4×4 Ranger and was assured it was. Low and behold, I too had to acquire the use of a press to straighten the bend of the front mounting brackets. As is, the bend is far to steep resulting in abnormal bushing wear.

Kit showed up quickly. Quality parts and easy to install. The only issue was the front mounting brackets weren’t bent correctly. Had to straighten them and re-bend them with a press. Other than that, installed in less then an hour and the seem to have fixed most of the axle wrap issue.

I ordered traction bars for my Ford Ranger, and was expecting them to arrive in a couple of weeks. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they arrived within the week. I was going out on limb purchasing these. I was thinking, “For this price, there has to be something wrong with them”. However, after they arrived I saw that they were made out of quality metal, and after installation and wheeling for a couple of days the bushings are holding up nicely.
