AX15 Adapter to Dana 20 Complete Kit, 1966-77 Bronco

With its 3.83 to 1 first gear and 21% overdrive, the brand new AX15 transmission kit from Advance Adapters offers excellent drivability both on and off-road. This transmission is great as a daily driver and/or weekend wheeler. Smoother shifting and shorter throw than the NV4500, it provides a less “truck-like” feel. This transmission has over a 400 lb.-ft Torque capacity rating, with a 7,200# Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (11,000# GCW). The AX15 assembly is so similar in length to the factory 3 speed or 4 speed that no driveline changes are usually required (when retaining the Dana 20 Transfer case). A 1″ body lift is recommended for the best transmission alignment and ease of installation. (Installation with a J Pattern Dana 20 requires the use of a Twin Stick shifter.)
