Hi Ho Silver | James Duff Inc
Suzy Duff's Early Bronco
Hi Ho Silver or Silver is a 1977 Bronco, (recognizable as the only year with gas doors) It started its life as barely a driver that Mr. Duff bought in 1981 for $1800. It was stripped down over the years until 1991 when Richard Duff got the bug to build a Bronco of his own. There wasn’t much left of it at that point. He decided to make it a half cab and that’s why its roll cage is 2 parts. Silver sports a custom soft top and has been molded into Suzy's ride of choice when attending local street cruises or other Bronco events across the United States.
Silver proudly features the parts below:
- 351W with Ford fuel injection and a C4
- Dana 20 Transfer case with 4.10:1 gears with ARB air lockers front and rear
- 3 1/2” Monster suspension system and our 2” body lift.
- Heim Steer System with ram assist.
- Front and Rear Plate Bumpers, with optional tire carrier and cooler rack.
- Our shorty headers with 2 into 1 exhaust system with Magnaflow muffler.
- Mastercraft seats and seat brackets
- Tuffy storage throughout for gear- a real need for wheeling out west.
- Four-wheel disc brakes & hydro-boost with a Currie rear axle housing.
- Jim and Suzy did the paint in 2006 for the 40th Anniversary in CA.
- The inner front clip is all stainless and was made by the sheet metal manufacturer we had in Washington about 20 years ago-- it turns out it was a great investment since it still looks like new!
