Information

Looking for the best and most reliable stopping power for your Early Bronco? Are you tired of unreliable front drum brakes or just fed up with GM and aftermarket Disc brakes? If so, then this disc brake kit is the perfect fit for you!

We developed this kit for 1971-'75 Broncos and F-150s with ball joint Dana 44 front axles originally equipped with drum brakes.

THIS WILL NOT FIT DANA 30 KING-PIN EQUIPPED AXLES. If you have a Dana 30 check out our budget disc brake system. Not sure if you have a Dana 30 or a dana 44 under your Bronco? Check out these reference pics.

This is the only kit on the market where you can walk into most auto parts stores and ask for replacement parts for a 1977 Ford Bronco! Say goodbye to your inferior drum brakes and the frustration of trying to source the mixed mash of parts that other conversion kits come standard with.

Features

Our kit contains the strongest factory-style steering knuckles and caliper mounting brackets. Why is this important? Strength adds rigidity and rigidity makes your brakes work better. Better working brakes allow the Bronco to stop quicker. Other aftermarket kits use weaker, stamped steel caliper mounting brackets, this added flex creates a delay in your braking. A delay in braking could be the difference between saving your pride and joy or having her towed to the body shop or much worse.

James Duff knuckles are drilled 3/4″ straight through to give you a simple and hassle-free bolt-on steering system upgrade option for your Bronco. Tapered bushings are included if you decide to run factory Bronco steering instead.

Proportioning valves, wheel bearings, spindle nut kit, ball joints and many other braking components are sold separately below. You may need these when installing disc brakes. Check out our latest videos at Bronco Garage and watch Monster Mike install this kit. This kit will work only with the early t-style wheel to wheel tie rod original to '66-'75 Broncos & '71-'75 F150’s, It will not work with inverted Y tie rods (as found stock on 1976-'77).

FAQ

Q: Will this work on my Bronco?
A: If your Bronco is equipped with a Dana 44 front axle this kit will work for you. If you have a '76-'77 Bronco with inverted-Y steering linkage it will require installing a t-style steering system, such as our dual sport heim steering.

Q: My Bronco has a Dana 30 Axle, can I use this kit?
A: No. This kit is only compatible with Dana 44 axles. Please see our Budget disc Brake kit to upgrade to disc brakes on a Dana 30 front axle.

Q: Will factory 15" wheels clear these components?
A: Grinding of the calipers may be required with factory 15" '66-'75 Steel wheels.

Q: Will this kit work with aftermarket 15" wheels?
A: Most 15" aftermarket wheels are compatible with this kit.
