You will be contacted within 2-3 business days after purchase to pay for shipping and make arrangements. Smoothy bumpers come with the knockouts left intact and it is my responsibility to weld or body fill them smooth if that is your preference. All Bumpers are shipped bare and unboxed via ground. You should not paint or powder coat bumpers until all components have been test fit to the vehicle.

Bumpers typically take 2 weeks to ship but until further notice, some bumpers are taking 4-6 weeks. Bumpers release to ship as soon as they are available so if you do not want them to ship early it is up to you to communicate that when you make your purchase.

  1. Michael Amster (verified owner)

Great product, very rugged, and easy to install with the help of a coworker.
Worth the money, so much better than the old body mount rigs, and fits around my 23 gallon fuel tank.

  2. Thom Mehl (verified owner)

I opted to go back to stock bumpers on my 73. This is the only way to go. Installation is so easy even I could do it. Solid, well thought out carrier.

  3. James Stauffer (verified owner)

Awesome !!! Tire carrier and receiver hitch. My 1970 bronco has a bench seat with bulkhead where spare was attached. Now I have more room inside for other gear! The workmanship on this excellent! Fits perfect everything lines up great no adjustments needed. Thank you.

  4. Ryan Thomas (verified owner)

This tire carrier is very well made. I’m happy I finally pulled the trigger. I had to do a little adjusting of the mounting holes on the frame but over all I’m very happy. I also ordered the body filler panels and you have to modify the filler panel to fit with the tire carrier.

  5. Andre Coelho (verified owner)

Very cool carrier looks to be made up of the class II hitch receiver and the heavy duty bumper carrier. I had a couple fitment issues. One was that the carrier needs a 1/2″ to 1″ spacer and longer wheel studs for the 15×8 and 33×12.5 tire combo and an area that needed to be ground down for proper fitment of the bumper behind the hinge area. Otherwise the carrier looks great and does the task.

  6. Scott

Great tire carrier!!! Worth every cent!!

  7. Tim Anderson (verified owner)

I haven’t had a chance to install it yet but it is definitely going to be an upgrade to my current carrier which tore through the rear panels and did all kinds of damage.
I like that this attaches to the frame and will be much more sturdy and durable. It appears to be extremely well made and I can’t wait to get it installed.

  8. Marshall Burns (verified owner)

As the others have said, it’s heavy duty. I’m pretty skilled at welding and fabrication but I’m glad I pulled the trigger on this. The craftsmanship put into this tire carrier is superb. I could have built one myself but without a tubing bender and an iron worker it wouldn’t have turned out nearly as nice. Thanks for the great product.

  9. Zack Gelfer (verified owner)

This is a really well-made tire carrier. The welds are all very clean, and all the materials are clearly heavy duty. It was a little tricky to install because my 66 bronco is far from straight, so a little coercing had to be done to get everything to fit. This is not a problem with the tire carrier but a result of the end of my frame rails being bent. All in all it’s an excellent product, solved my tire storage issue, and kept the bronco looking semi stock which is what I wanted. Thanks for a high quality product!

  10. Steve Sherman

This is a major upgrade to other tire carriers. Since it’s supported by the frame there is no strain on the body itself. I’m carrying a 31x 10.5 BFG and this carrier could easily support a much bigger tire. EZ to unlatch & open the tailgate too.

  11. Jim (verified owner)

Heavy duty steel / no challenge holding 33×12.5 spare.
Really strong way to add a functional spare tire without losing that classic original look. Love this product.

  12. Tony Mele

Bombproof. Solid! Easy install, no rattles, no squeaks. Finally a really functional system for tire and jack setup. Looks great too – holds tire low enough to view out the rear window. My third attempt at finding a tire carrier system I like – very happy. No shortcuts on this one. Came with everything needed for install, and all parts are top quality. And Duff’s honored their delivery estimate as well. Very highly recommended.

  13. Dylan

Excellent quality parts, easy to follow instructions and video. Exactly what I was looking for to keep the stock bumper but add some support for larger tires.

  14. Ronald Bjorkland

Fantastic look and stout design. This piece of equipment will hold your 100 pound spare without issue. If you like a factory look this is the product for you.

  15. DANNY D

Fantastic welding, heavy duty construction and a quality product
