Job Title: Packaging Clerk
The Packaging Clerk is responsible for supporting the company’s packaging strategy through proactive, proficient day-to-day operations. The primary duties of this position is to ensure secure, accurate, timely and efficient packaging operations. This is a hands-on position, which requires the employee to work both independently to complete individual
tasks and collaboratively to achieve department/team goals & expectations. A Packaging Clerk must be ambitious and self-motivated with a strong eye for quality.

Position Reporting:
This position is a member of the James Duff (JDI) Shipping & Packaging team reporting to the Shipping & Packaging Manager.

Areas of Responsibility:

Operating and supporting the shipping & packaging department in all aspects of kitting & packaging operations. These responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support and maintain the company’s Packaging strategy, processes, and procedures
  • Packaging and kitting parts for inventory/orders (kitting, packaging, QC check, labeling, etc.)
  • Keep records and verify parts & inventory pulled and/or packaged
  • Ensure quality of parts & products as they are kitted and packaged (no damage, missing coating/paint, etc.)
  • Ensure quality & accuracy of parts, labeling, and packaging
  • Manage inventory of packaging materials & supplies
  • Operates forklift or hand truck to accomplish material handling and packaging duties
  • Use standard operating procedures and best practices for packaging of parts/kits
  • Reconcile inventory & part quantity discrepancies
  • Receiving new product from vendors & checking in product
  • Identify and support the implementation of packaging solutions, which help resolve
    new product packaging, packaging issues or customer complaints
  • Maintain professional relationships with all internal and external team members (JDI employees, material vendors, etc.)
  • Maintain cleanliness throughout the warehouse and ensure all facilities’ maintenance duties are completed in a timely manner

This position requires the employee to stand for extended periods of time and lift boxes/products in excess of 60lbs. (Note: Some of our products are large in dimension and/or heavy). The employee must be able to frequently bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and handle materials, products and boxes, thus unrestricted use of both hands is required.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sells products and/or services to repair the problem or improve the Bronco’s abilities and meet the customer's needs. 
  • Processes online orders and phone orders from start to finish.
  • Work with tech department as needed to help customers with troubleshooting needs

Job Title: Product Development Lead

The Product Development Lead is responsible for implementing and executing the company’s product development strategy and day-to-day operations. The primary duties of this position is to execute and ensure accurate, timely, efficient and cost-effective product development operations. This is a hands-on lead position, which means you will be actively working within the department as part of day-to-day operations. This position must be self-motivated, proactive and self-accountable: setting and meeting daily goals & objectives for your yourself, including monitoring progress of a multitude of projects.

Position Reporting:

This position is a key member of the James Duff (JDI) Product Development team reporting to the Product Development Manager. 

Areas of Responsibility: 

Maintaining, operating and leading the product development department. Oversee and support every aspect of the product development process, including but not limited to:

  • Plan and implement an overall Product Development strategy
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the product development department
  • Develop new products or enhancements to existing products, in an effort to expand product lines, solve customer requests & problems and/or improve the Bronco’s abilities
  • Monitor newly launched and/or existing products for potential product upgrades or design modifications/flaws
  • Gathering and evaluating customer feedback, vendor input/feedback and internal customers (JDI employees) to enhance existing products or develop new products
  • Negotiate competitive pricing with vendors, including shipping rates; coordinate with Purchasing for a smooth transition of new product launches

The draftsman position must be self-motivated and thorough with a strong eye for quality and continuous improvement of designs/products.

Position Reporting:

This position is a member of the James Duff (JDI) Product Development team reporting to the Product Development Manager.

Areas of Responsibility:

Operating and supporting the product development department in all aspects of design, drafting (CAD), manufacturability, sourcing, and costing. These responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support and maintain the company’s Product Development strategy, processes and procedures
  • Use CAD software & tools, primarily SolidWorks and Fusion 360, to create 3D and 2D technical drawings
  • Maintaining the library of CAD drawings for both all parts (active and parts in-development)
  • Work closely with our Purchasing Dept. to outline our bill of materials (BOMs)
  • Support product development in diagnosing and providing feedback on part designs, potential design/manufacturability issues, improving products, and potential new products
  • Use established procedures, processes and best practices to convert drawings, build product BOMs (bill of materials), and outlining product specifications
  • Update & modify product drawings based on recommendations from the product development team
  • Identify and support design & implementation of packaging solutions for new products, or in an effort to resolve packaging issues or customer complaints
  • Maintain professional relationships with all internal and external team members (JDI employees, material vendors, etc.)
  • Maintain cleanliness throughout the front office and ensure all facilities’ maintenance duties are completed in a timely manner

 

Experience, Skills & Physical Requirements:

This position requires the employee to sit and stand for extended periods of time and lift materials/products in excess of 60lbs. (Note: Some of our products are large in dimension and/or heavy). The employee must be able to frequently bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and handle materials, products and boxes, thus unrestricted use of both hands is required. Employee will need to be comfortable working in a detail-oriented, customer-focused, fast-paced environment. Ideal candidate should have previous CAD experience.

Job Title: Packaging & Shipping Associate The Packaging & Shipping Associate is responsible for supporting and maintaining the company’s packaging & shipping strategy through proactive, proficient day-to-day operations. The primary duties of this position is to ensure secure, accurate, timely, and efficient packaging & shipping operations. This is a hands-on position, which requires the employee to work both independently to complete individual tasks and collaboratively to achieve department/team goals & expectations. A Packaging & Shipping Associate must be ambitious and self-motivated with a strong eye for quality.

Areas of Responsibility:
Maintaining, operating, and supporting the shipping & packaging department (packaging, order fulfillment, and outbound shipments). These responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

• Support and maintain the company’s Packaging & Shipping strategy
• Packaging and preparing orders for shipment (final packaging, QC check, labeling, skidding, shipping method, and scheduling courier)
• Keep records and verify orders pulled and outbound shipments
• Oversee outgoing shipments to ensure quality & accuracy of order, labeling and packaging
• Ensures shipping method utilized is correct - meets client requirements & deadlines
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials & supplies
• Operates forklift or hand truck to accomplish material handling, packaging & shipping duties
