Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your order before it ships, your return amount will be 3% less than what you paid to cover our credit card processing fees. If you decide to return any parts within 30 days of when it ships to you, we will also be deducting 3% for credit card fees and possibly 5-20% total if there are restocking fees associated with your return. We ask that you are 100% sure before placing your order. Our Sales and Tech depts can help you with your questions but ultimately you will be responsible for any final decisions made on a purchase with James Duff Inc.

Wrong/Defective Parts

First off we want to say we are sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunately mistakes in pulling and packaging parts happen and sometimes parts fail. Please make sure you are the original purchaser of the parts and have proof of purchase.
We reserve the right to fix or repair all parts before offering a replacement.
1. When we ship you the wrong part(s) or a part has a warranty issue what do you do? Do not pick up the phone and call us. Please click here and fill out our claim form. We will need you to send picture proof. You can attach the pictures to the claim form.
2. You will be emailed back by our Claims department they will present you with 2 options.

                      Option A. The first option is to ship our parts back to us at your earliest convenience using the provided return shipping label sent via email. As soon as the parts are back at our facility they will process your claim and reach out to you within 1-3 business days and discuss your options.

                    Option B. The second option. If you would like the correct or replacement parts shipped to you right away, you can either go on to our website and purchase the correct parts and have them sent to you as soon as they are available (if they are in stock they will ship 1-3 business days) or, if it is a part we don't list on the website, we will require you put a deposit down for the part you need so we can release the part to ship.
                NOTE: With the second option, you can ship the incorrect or defective parts back with the return label we provide you at your earliest convenience. Once the returned parts are checked in at our facility, our Claims dept will process your claim and contact you about the money owed and any other details.
It is important to understand that we have a 30-day policy for returning parts once they have shipped to you. After that, you cannot return parts you no longer want. If the parts have been installed, you cannot return them at all unless there is a warranty issue. We ask you to verify all your parts have shipped and you have the correct parts within 72 hours of the delivery arriving. If you are missing parts from your delivery after 72 hours we cannot ship you the parts unless we can clearly see we made a mistake. If we did not make a mistake you will have to purchase the parts you are missing. Keep in mind, our sales and tech dept are here to assist you in your purchase, if you take their advice and change your mind or don't like the advice they gave you, you are still responsible for your purchase and you cannot return it once installed or after the 30 days have expired.
Again, please do not call. Please fill out the claims form here and our Claims department will reach out to you in 1-3 business days. If your claim is urgent, please fill out the form and then send us an email marked urgent at returns@dufftuff.com

Shipping

Before placing your order it's important that you understand the application of the parts you have selected to purchase. If you have ANY questions about fitment or application it is extremely important to get in touch with our tech department, before placing the order. Otherwise, the order will be sent directly to our shipping department. Any change that needs to be made before shipping the order after being placed could delay the order by 3-5 business days if it is available to change.

Please open and inspect your order RIGHT AWAY. 

DAMAGE or SHORTAGES must be reported within 2 business days of shipment arrival. 

Freight damages must be recorded upon arrival and signed off by the freight driver in order to file a claim.

We are always striving to provide our customers with the best rates when purchasing online. When checking out you will be provided with several options to complete your purchase.

Option 1: Pick up at Duff's. You can purchase your product online and our sales staff with contact you with a pick-up confirmation date. Tennessee sales tax will be charged when selecting this option.

Option 2: Estimated Shipping, some of our products ship in multiple boxes. We have adjusted these rates based on your address. It does not always account for all of the items that are in your cart. If more shipping is required our customer service rep will call you to invoice you for further shipping charges.

Option 3: Calculated Shipping, this uses our shipping calculator to estimate STANDARD GROUND shipping costs to your address.

Option 4: Calculated Freight - We are now offering the ability to calculate our freight shipments at the time of purchase. You will be presented with three different options. Verified Commercial Address with Loading Dock, Verified Commercial Address with Liftgate Service, or Freight Terminal. It is important to understand if your address is not verified as a commercial address by our freight company we will default to shipping it to the nearest freight terminal, and/or collecting additional charges to make up the difference if required.

Option 5: Freight Quote, this option will show up when purchasing heavy items such as lift systems or bumpers. Our customer service rep will contact you with details on having these large items shipped via freight.

Most products if in stock ship within 72 business hours. If our salesman sees a delay that will take longer our sales team will reach out to your via email with an ETA. We make our best efforts to show when an item is back-ordered on the product's page.

Limited Warranty

James Duff Inc. warrants our products to the original purchaser to be free from defects in materials and workmanship. Warranty periods begin at the date of purchase and varies by product. James Duff 70/30 Shocks have a limited lifetime warranty. Headers, Radiators and Suspension Products, Power Brake Boosters, and Master Cylinders have a one-year warranty. Adapters and soft goods such as upholstery, vinyl, and rubber products have a 90-day warranty.

All warranties are to the original purchaser with proof of purchase only. Such obligations under this warranty shall be limited to the repair or replacement, at JDI’s discretion, of any assembly or part which upon examination by JDI proves to be defective. Any costs of removal, installation, reinstallation, or freight charges are expressly excluded from this warranty. This warranty covers only manufacturer's defects and does not cover product finish or damage resulting from abuse, misuse, negligence, racing, alteration, accident, or damage in transit.

This warranty is expressly in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for use. This warranty gives you specific legal rights including other rights that vary from state to state. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations and/or exclusions may not apply to you. All non-JDI products including but not limited to; Hydratech, Wilwood, Mastercraft, Currie, Advanced Adapters, Heatshield Products, Hellwig, Lokar, Tuffy & Warn are covered under their respective warranties.

Return Policy

PLEASE NOTE: WE CANNOT ACCEPT ANY VERBAL AGREEMENT TO RETURN OR EXCHANGE ANY JDI PARTS FROM THE CUSTOMER OR ANYONE AT JDI. IF PARTS NEED TO BE RETURNED, IT IS THE CUSTOMER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO FILL OUT THE FORM HERE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE. WITHIN 30 DAYS OF DELIVERY AND TO BE SURE JDI POLICIES ARE FOLLOWED.

All returns must be pre-authorized by JDI and accompanied by a Return Goods Authorization Number (RGA) and a dated proof of purchase.

Returns may be subject up to a 20% restocking fee. Fill out our Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) located here before returning any merchandise. No returns will be accepted 30 days after delivery. Special orders (dropships) are prepaid and no returns are accepted.

Repackage the product(s) carefully in a strong container. All items must be properly protected to prevent damage or loss during shipping. Damage or loss which occurs during return shipping is your responsibility. All parts must be received by us in a resalable condition. Any item received in non-resalable condition will be returned to you or an appropriate restocking charge applied (up to 20% plus cost to replace missing parts) to refinish/replace the part(s) to salable condition at our discretion. You are responsible for the cost of return shipping. Ship prepaid to JDI, 6609 Bronco Ln., Knoxville, TN 37921 Returns without an RGA# or sent COD will be refused.

Returns will not be accepted on gift cards, wearable merchandise such as but not limited to; hats, shirts, etc. We also do not backdate sales promotions on the limited occasion that we do offer something on sale. THIS INCLUDES IF YOU HAVE ALREADY MADE YOUR PURCHASE AND THE PARTS HAVE NOT BEEN SHIPPED.

Refund Lead Times

If you do request a refund and we have processed your return you should be aware of how that process works from our credit card processor, PayPal.

If you paid with your:

  • Credit card (including PayPal Credit): your refund will go to your credit card. It may take up to 30 days for the refund amount to appear on your card statement. If the card was canceled or you paid with a prepaid card, contact the card issuer to access your refund. The money will still be sent to this card account.
  • Bank account: your refund will initially go back to the PayPal balance before being auto-swept back to the original funding source (bank). It may take up to 5 business days for the refund amount to appear on your bank account. If a refund is issued shortly after you paid, we'll try to cancel the transaction so you're never charged. If we're unable to cancel the transaction, the refund will be processed and sent to your bank account.
  • PayPal Cash or PayPal Cash Plus balance: your refund will go to your PayPal Cash or PayPal Cash Plus balance on the same day the refund was processed.
  • PayPal Cash or PayPal Cash Plus balance + credit card: your refund will go to both your PayPal Cash or PayPal Cash Plus balance and credit card. The refund to the balance will happen the same day it's processed; the refund to the card may take up to 30 days.
  • Debit card: your refund will go to your debit card. It may take up to 30 days for the refund amount to appear on your card statement. If the refund can't be applied to your debit card, it'll be sent to your PayPal account.

Suspension Product Information

Modifying your vehicle with JDI products to improve off-road performance may result in the vehicle handling differently than a factory-equipped vehicle. Taller tires will cause the vehicle’s speedometer to read slow, so recalibration is required. The use of oversize tires, suspension lifts, body lifts, and other modifications may raise your vehicle’s center of gravity, resulting in an increased tendency for the vehicle to pitch and roll during sudden turns or abrupt maneuvering.

Failure to drive with extreme care to prevent loss of control or vehicle rollover may result in injury or death. Drive at a reduced speed to ensure your ability to maintain control of the vehicle under all driving conditions. We recommend installing functional roll bars and cages as well as double shocking all vehicles for more safety and stability on or off-road.

Always wear seat belts when in a vehicle. Consult your owner's manual for recommended tire sizes, safety instructions, and warnings unique to your vehicle. It is your responsibility to check state and local laws restricting vehicle height to ensure that modifications to your vehicle are legal.

Shock and Spring Return Disclaimer
Shocks and Springs, like all of our parts, cannot be returned after 30 days of delivery. If you are within 30 days and do want to return them, please follow the guidelines below before filling out a return form.

  • If the shocks and/or springs were installed they cannot be returned.
  • If we sent you the wrong shocks and or springs and you installed them before verifying they were the correct part they cannot be returned.
    • Always confirm we sent you the correct parts before installing them.
  • If you have a shop that is building, fixing or repairing your vehicles and they install our shocks and/or springs they cannot be returned
  • The boxes we ship our parts in are only designed to be shipped 1 way and can incur damage en route to you.
    • If the shocks or springs arrive damaged you must report the damage immediately (2 Business days from the date they were delivered to you) to JDI and provide picture proof.
    • If you want to return unopened shocks and springs you must inspect them and repackage them before shipping them back
    • JDI will not accept shocks and/or springs that have any damage to them and you'll be given 2 choices:
      • Ship them back at your expense
      • Stay at the JDI facility and not receive a return for them unless they sell from the second's shelf
  • If JDI shocks and/or springs are returned and the return is refused and the customer wants JDI to keep them and put them on the second's shelf to sell, the customer understands and agrees that the parts can take several months and sometimes years to sell and at a 50% or more discounted price from retail.
  • We understand that accidents and mistakes happen and we also understand that changes in the build direction of your vehicle will occur. It is typically best to not return shocks or springs when this happens but to sell them instead through a medium on the internet or your local Bronco community.
  • Please understand that no verbal agreement to return any JDI parts from the customer or anyone at JDI is binding or upheld. If parts need to be returned, it is the customer's responsibility to get it in writing within 30 days of delivery and to be sure JDI policies are followed.

Bare Paint & Powdercoat Disclaimer

Although we do our very best to offer you a great product, we have to be realistic. Below is what to expect from the finish of our parts when purchasing from us.

The parts we sell bare are either too big to safely transport without paint or powder coating getting damaged i.e. bumpers, tire carriers, trail doors, etc, or are meant to be attached by weld and then painted after the weld cools down. The end-user/installer is responsible for using the correct prep and paint to allow the part(s) to work correctly & prevent the part from rusting.

The parts we paint are only coated for rust prevention until they are sold off the shelf. If you want the parts to have a more durable long-lasting coating please be sure to re-coat them with paint or powder coat of your choice before final installation.

The parts we powder coat use a production-grade powder coat and production-grade processes to apply the coating. Typically the heavier the part the more likely it will be to have a few small imperfections in the coating. Keep in mind that many of these blemishes and small imperfections come from abusive or careless shipping practices that we have very little control over.

Exhaust Related Components

The regulation of emissions production, noise levels, and safety standards are undertaken by the federal government, each of the fifty state legislatures and by many local municipalities, towns and counties. California Vehicle Code Sections 27156 and 38391 prohibit the advertising, offering for sale, or installation of any device which modifies a vehicle’s emission control system unless exempted. James Duff headers have not received an exemption from these code sections and are not legal for sale or use in California on vehicles originally equipped with catalytic converters. It is illegal, except for vehicles only driven off-road, to remove or otherwise render inoperative any emission control device on regulated motor vehicles. In the other 49 states, it‑ is the responsibility of the ultimate consumer to check federal and local laws to determine if JDI products are legal for use on their vehicle.

Liability Disclaimer

JDI makes no warranties of merchantability, of fitness for a particular purpose, or that its products are approved for general use, or that its products comply with laws, regulations, or ordinances in the states of the ultimate consumers. The entire risk as to the conformity of any product in any such state and as to repair should the product prove to be non-conforming, is on the ultimate consumer of such product and it is not upon JDI.

Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, JDI shall under no circumstances be liable for any incidental or consequential loss or damage whatsoever arising out of, or in any way relating to any such breach of warranty or claimed defect in, or nonperformance of the products. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which may vary from state to state. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations and/or exclusions may not apply to you. The foregoing statement Limits the Liability of James Duff, Inc.

JDI will not allow or accept verbal agreements between the customer or anyone that works for James Duff Inc. Returns, promises, order confirmations, etc. are all required to have written verifiable proof they exist before any action is taken.
